Rosin modified maleic anhydride resin is the slight yellow transparent solid, which is adducts of gum rosin and maleic anhydride through the esterification by glycerol or pentaerythritol.

？溶解于煤焦油、酯类及松节油等溶剂，不溶于醇类溶剂，部分溶于石油类溶剂，与植物油混溶性较好。本品具有色泽稳定、不易泛黄、热稳定性好及附着力强等优点。
Soluble in coal tars, esters, turpentine oil; insoluble in alcoholic solvents; partially soluble in petroleum solvents, soluble well in plant oils. Which with the advantages of stable color, resistant to yellowing, good heat resistant and adhesion. ？

They are used in paint and coating industries widely, for production of phenolic paints (through polymerization with platoils); improve hardness of paint films, gloss and rubbing property for Polyesters, Nitro and PU paints.
